FAQ

Q. What can I expect at the initial consultation?

Our reception staff will greet you and request you to complete a new patient form, or you can print and complete one prior to your visit. Dr Le Grice will bring you into a consultation room where your presenting concern will be discussed and an examination performed. Following this, Dr Le Grice will discuss with you your diagnosis and treatments, determining with you the most suitable treatment and discussing alternatives. Occasionally patients require additional tests to confirm their diagnosis. These include having a small skin sample (biopsy) taken and examining the skin with special illumination devices. Minor treatments may also be performed at the time of consultation such as cryotherapy (freezing). These will be fully discussed with you if they are required.

Q. How much will treatment of my skin cancer cost?

Treatments for skin cancers and pre-cancerous spots vary from creams and cryotherapy (freezing) to a range of surgical procedures. The costs of all of these procedures will be discussed with you at the time of consultation and you will be provided with a written estimate.
